Come for the pun, stay for the music. Yellow Brit Road is CFRC's weekly British music show on Sundays from 8 to 9 PM on CFRC Radio Queen's. We delve into music history, past interviews, bizarre reviews and media, discuss band lore, and do the occasional themed show: eras, regions, dialects, albums, poetry; everything is on the plate! The podcasted version of this show contains all your favourite band trivia and stories, but the music can be found on posted playlists that accompany each individual episode. Listen live on CFRC 101.9 FM or on cfrc.ca!

Yellow Brit Road 6 July 2025: Oasis, Bob Vylan, Glastonbury recap, Haich Ber Na interview!

What a whirlwind week in music it has been: from the Oasis reunion actually genuinely taking place, to developments at Glastonbury and beyond, and new UK punk heroes Bob Vylan (listeners of this show have known that for 5 years already)! Keeping you current on the best artists before they break into the mainstream, we introduce you to Haich Ber Na, backed by stars like Iggy Pop and Paris, Texas, who joined us on the show this week! Music (including bands mentioned that we didn't have time to play) by:

Oasis, Loyle Carner & Sampha, The Maccabees & Florence and the Machine, Jo Hill, Adult DVD, Lambrini Girls, Getdown Services, Olivia Rodrigo & Robert Smith, Franz Ferdinand &. Peter Capaldi, AJ Tracey & Master Peace, Wolf Alice, Jade, The Prodigy, Bob Vylan, Haich Ber Na.

Again, this one's worth catching up in full in the CFRC archives for the exclusive performances, available for 3 months (hour 1 | hour 2), than the podcasted version, but I will try and link any performances up on BBC Music YouTube in the show playlist here.

Master Peace interview here. Adult DVD interview here.

Touch that dial and tune in live! We're on at CFRC 101.9 FM in Kingston, or on cfrc.ca, Sundays 8 to 9:30 PM! Listen back to full shows in the linked CFRC archive for 3 months from broadcast.
