YCPL Ripples in Space: Space Sweepers

Welcome to the seventh episode of Ripples in Space hosted by the Yadkin County Public Library.  Each month, we review a new science fiction book, movie or show and discuss major scientific concepts used throughout the story.   For this episode, we are reviewing the 2021 science fiction, South Korean Netflix film Space Sweepers directed by Jo Sung-Hee.

Space Sweepers takes an interesting look at the idea of a heavily polluted, nearly uninhabitable Earth in the near future, where those who are considered elite can live on a newly colonized Mars. We follow a ragtag team of misfits who stumble upon a discovery that changes everything.

For this episode we will talk about the movie and my review, the cast members,  recommendations for other movies and books that are similar and for a bit of science, take a look at the possibility of a habitable Mars.

Each week, other staff members will be bringing you more topics.  Be sure to check back each Wednesday at 1pm for a new episode.   Feel free to follow and connect with us on www.facebook.com/yadkincountypubliclibrary  www.pinterest.com/yadkinlibrary  twitter.com/YadkinL and www.instagram.com/yadkincountypubliclibrary .
