Joanna Kanga: Born and raised in Douala, a city in Cameroon in Central Africa, Joanna arrived in Montreal at the age of 11. Driven by creating a positive impact in her community, Joanna holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, International Development & Economics from McGill University. She is now the Press Secretary for the King’s Privy Council for Canada and Minister of Emergency Preparedness.
Myriam Morênikê Djossou: She is a first-generation Canadian of Senegalese and Beninese heritage with a passion for fostering just and inclusive communities. Myriam is a public policy professional who worked in the Canadian government for three years, most recently as a policy advisor to the Minister for Women and Gender Equality and Youth. Now, she is studying Public Policy at the University of Oxford, Blavatnik School of Government.
