After starting a one month, plastic-free challenge in 2011, she spurred a global movement of over 250 million people to reduce their plastic use. She talks about the origins of Plastic Free July, connecting to people outside your “eco-bubble,” using intentional language to create a movement, and the impact of behavioral economics on her work to go plastic free.
