After being shot seemingly randomly, Muhammed Mendez (Dev Patel) finds himself on a cruise ship that ferries souls to the afterlife, allowing them to make peace with their deaths. Following a series of session's with the ship's skeletal therapist (Gillian Anderson), he finds himself falling for the first mate (Matt Mercer).  Will Muhammad sabotage his development to stay on the ship with him? Or will (un)life pull them apart?
