Exposure Therapy follows Alan Dodd, an accountant with a compulsion for committing petty crimes so intense that it threatens his relationship with his wife. Throughout the show, Alan is manipulated by Beth Olson - his (unlicensed) therapist - who convinces him to commit worse and worse offenses under the guise of treatment. This finally culminates when Beth sends Alan to murder the detective who has been chasing her across the country, sealing his fate in her game of master manipulation.
