Joining me today is Yamiya Folkes, founder of HI. Women's Cannabis Collective - a community-built collective with a mission to destigmatize cannabis use for women by bringing visibility to women-owned cannabis businesses. Their vision is to be the premiere exclusive community and marketplace for women, queer, and non-binary to consume, source women-owned cannabis brands, and foster community. Their Los Angeles events range from Heels dance classes, and cake decorating, to their cozy Living Room series where the community can get together, make friends, and sesh. Yamiya chats about her move from the East Coast to Los Angeles, reverse engineering your goals, building a team, nurturing your community, and more. How do you throw an event that is welcoming, inclusive, and fun? We’re about to find out. Without further adieu, let’s sesh!
