When many think of Christmas time we think of family gatherings, kids opening presents, parties and celebrations. We also think of family traditions, special foods, special music, special activities, special movies, all enjoyed with family and friends. The happy ending of every Christmas movie is family and loved ones together around the tree, all is made right in the world.

However, for many it's not the sentimental, warm, family-filled celebration that others experience. What are some reasons why Christmas can be really hard? And for those of us who aren’t in those situations, what should learn and be aware of?
