Jacqui is Executive Director and Founder of Australian Women in Security Network (AWSN). A cybersecurity expert with 2 decades experience in the industry, she is also an international keynote speaker, published author, and multiple award winner, with Jacqui most recently receiving AusCert’s 2021 Information Security Excellence award. She is also recognised for her work internationally, having been named an IFSEC top influencer for security thought leadership (2018) and as an ISACA Oceania CACS 2018 Women in Technology Leadership. They discuss Jacqui’s first ever presenting experience at an international cybersecurity conference in Washington DC, how it almost (but didn’t) put her off public speaking for life, how she overcame her fears and why she continues to speak today. Jacqui also shares her tips and trips on advocating for others and why using you voice, doesn’t have to just be about public speaking.
