Sarah Jones is a professional runner (supported by Brooks) with a long list of accomplishments to her name; including running the 2020 Olympic Marathon Trials, representing Team USA at the 50k and 100k world road championships, and winning the historic JFK 50 Mile.
A new mom, and making her return to racing after injury, surgery, pregnancy, and postpartum, Sarah just jumped into the Twisted Fork 68k in Utah, where she finished second amidst a strong podium of fellow mother runners (Careth Arnold and Lauren Puretz)!
In this episode, Lauren and Sarah discuss her trajectory into running from a childhood of figure skating, and how a strong love for community became a guiding light in her career and the types of racing and training she enjoyed most.
Hear about her transformative shift to trail running, her challenges through years of injury, how the journey to motherhood has changed her (and her relationship to running), and what's coming next!
