This episode features Melissa Bishop-Nriagu, a professional athlete, and two-time Olympian, who took home a gold medal at the Pan American games in 2015 and a silver at the 2015 world championships. She is is the Canadian National record holder for the women’s 800M and also competed at the 2021 summer Olympics in Tokyo. As a competitor and in the media, she is the epitome of dedication and grace and not only an elite-level athlete but wife and mother.
Melissa shares her journey of how she got into competing in track and choosing the 800-meter race, what staying in the Olympic Village is like, any rituals or routines she has when training, and much more. We also finish off with some fun rapid-fire questions!
