Welcome to the St. Clair College Women in STEM speaker series Podcast, brought to you by the Genesis Entrepreneurship Centre, located in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

This episode features Sandy Ilievski, an Electrical Engineer and the Global Prototype Manager for Ford Motor Company in Michigan. Sandy has long been a passionate supporter of St.Clair College and brought forward the idea for the One-Ford Capstone Event at St. Clair College. This event is an exceptionally rare opportunity to showcase projects from our talented St. Clair College Students in front of high-level Executives from Ford and Air Canada and other industry partners.

Sandy is the kind of person who will tackle anything head-on and is the exact person you want on your team. She has a magical way of getting things done and is the first person to step up to help others, despite being one of the busiest people I know. She has mentored countless men and women and most certainly leads by example. It is her mandate to make sure that everyone around her is in the spotlight, by encouraging them, providing sound advice, positivity, resources, and connections, to empower them to succeed. She has also been a valued advocate and advisor for the St. Clair College, Women in STEM Club, and has led the “Women of Ford” support group within her own organization.

Sandy shares her journey of what attracted her to choose electrical engineering in the first place, how she progressed through the ranks at Ford, what her position as “Global Prototype Manager” entails, and much more. We also finish off with some fun rapid-fire questions!
