Shala Arshi 

Shala is a high-tech industry veteran from Silicon Valley, an active advocate for women in IT and a co-founder of Women in Big Data, Inc. (WiBD) a non-profit organization supporting over 18,000 members across 40+ countries to engage, connect and grow in the big data industry. Shala shares her experience developing and growing a dynamic organisation that brings value and support to so many people across the globe. Her leadership, influencing and co-ordination skills are remarkable.

Shala is currently the COO and co-founder of Job Pairing, an online technical hiring marketplace that supports individuals to leverage a new model of working that enables career based part-time work. The premise is that even though someone may need to work part-time they should still be a valued member of the team and advance in their careers.

Shala has a master's degree in computer science from Oregon State University and was previously an executive at Intel Corporation for over 30 years in technical, management, leadership, and innovation positions.

Shala's life work is centred on supporting women to excel in their work in the technology industry.
