We preach all the time about the importance of sleep especially in a first responder family. Mostly our emphasis is on the first responder themselves getting enough adequate sleep after being away on shift. Regardless of the career you're in, parents of little ones can unanimously agree that sleep is the most precious commodity, especially in those early years. That's where our next guest comes in. Meghan Marchesani holds a Masters in Early Childhood Education, a Certified Pediatric sleep consultant, mama of 2 little ones, and a wife to a first responder.
January is Firefighter Cancer Awareness Month. We wanted to use this episode to recognize the efforts being made to keep our loved ones safe while on shift and at home. Ever play 20 questions? This episode we asked each other "get to know you" questions. Even after knowing each other for 20 years some of the answers surprised us! Listen in to get to know us a little better.

Listen in to our continued conversation with Greg from "The Overwatch Collective".
We had a great conversation with Greg from the Overwatch Collective. They wanted to know our story and the "why" for starting Wives on Fire. The Overwatch Collective is normalizing PTSD, suicide awareness and mental health among First Responders and Military through their podcast. All money they raise goes toward funding therapy and introducing resources to those in need.
"It's summer time, schedules are out the window, structure is gone and we are in a sinking ship."
Our guest today is Courtney from Heroes Financial Coaching. She helps first responder and military families reach their money goals and get rid of financial stress.
We are talking about the hard conversations. These are the topics that aren't talked about out loud at Christmas parties or department picnics when you get together with other spouses. These conversations are happening at home and they need to be shared in a larger space. Many of you are first responder spouses but many of you listening are not or only know someone who is. This episode is for you too. Anyone can benefit from learning how to better support a person when they need it.
Today we want to tackle one of the most important aspects of family life, especially for us coming from a first responder family, how you spend time away from the job and why it’s so important to be intentional with it.
The real truth about how to navigate motherhood, work, marriages and everything in between all while we’re trying to survive and thrive in the chaos of a first responder family. Pour yourself a glass with hosts Brittney and Kelly as they aim to be a voice of support while sharing the real, raw side of fire wife life.
