Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 13. I will then key in on verse 10 - By pride comes nothing but strife, But with the well advised is wisdom. Friends, when Jesus was in the Garden of Gethsemane He felt the same apprehension that we would feel if we were going to be facing crucifixion. He prayed to God for Him to take away this cup (of God's wrath) from Him. However, He followed up with Nevertheless, not My will, but Yours be done. On today's podcast we will pick up where we left off on last Thursday's podcast (Episode #897 - If you didn't get a chance to tune in to that podcast, I invite you to do so). We will be going over verses 35-46 of Chapter 22. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:
1. Even though Jesus was sinless, He would suffer a criminal's death.
2. Pray that you may not enter into temptation.
3. Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me.
Scriptures referenced on today's lesson:
Proverb 13:10; Matthew 10:9-10; Luke 22:35-46; Hebrews 5:7-9
Call to Action - Ponder for 2-3 minutes how Jesus felt while He was in the garden (as discussed in today's lesson). Then, put yourself in that garden, and ask yourself how you would feel?
