In this episode Stewart Noyce and I discuss the similarities between Bitcoin and the early days of the Internet from a technology perspective and early adoption. Stewart provides some great insight on the cypherpunk movement of the 1970-80's through his own experience working in Silicon Valley, CA. and how it might have influenced Satoshi Nakamoto to create Bitcoin. Was Satoshi work/living in the Bay Area? We also discuss how people that discovered Bitcoin later in life are using it as an asymmetric bet within their retirement portfolio to overcome the challenges with inflation today (and in the future).
