S1E1 - Rav Mordechai Machlis

In this pilot episode, I speak with Rabbi Mordechai Machlis, who alongside his wife Rebbetzin Henny Machlis of blessed memory, started Jerusalem Chesed. To get involved and make a donation, please click HERE

As per their website, Since 1979, the Machlis family has been hosting spiritually uplifting and extremely meaningful Shabbat & holiday meals in the holy city of Jerusalem.

The approximately 200 guests each Shabbat include tourists and travelers, Israeli residents and new immigrants, university, yeshiva and seminary students, the intellectually and theologically curious, the homeless, destitute, poor and lonely and all who seek a Shabbat or holiday experience for either spiritual or physical reasons.

In addition to their service on Shabbat and Chagim, the Machlis family provides personalized caring and assistance for the many who seek financial, social, physiological and spiritual help throughout the week.

If you are in Jerusalem, it is a must visit. You are all personally invited, as Rabbi Machlis tells us in this episode.

Rav Machlis and Rebbetzin Henny are world-class models of Chesed, lovingkindness and the Mitzvah Chasnasat Orchim, hospitality.

During this interview, you will learn from Rav Machlis about this vital work, its relates to the first of the Ten Commandments in helping to relieve others from suffering, and how we can in some small way, increase our Chesed and involvement with Chachnasat Orchim. His wife, Rebbetzin Henny, is deeply missed and was a truly special Soul. To learn more about her life, click HERE.  I hope this episode is as meaningful and moving as it was for Rav Shalom and I. Thanks so much for listening.

Thanks for listening; we hope you enjoy it and find it meaningful. Please like and subscribe, wherever you may be listening.
