This week we discuss 'The One Thing' by Gary Keller & Jay Papasan. A really interesting read in the area of productivity and lifestyle design which covers the way in which we can prioritise daily actions which serve our greater goals. We talk about the lies we live; by that everything matters equally, that multitasking is possible and how work/life balance isn't a thing amongst others. Also... The Focusing Questions: 'What's the ONE THING I can do such by doing that everything else will be easier or unnecessary'. We also unpack the concepts of the domino effect, extreme pareto, living by priority, living with purpose, sitting in discomfort of letting other areas of life fall behind as you pursue your one thing, living for productivity and time blocking. A really great way to view the different areas of your life and to put what matters first to get the greatest results in line with your values!
