Linda from WIDLIMS
26 episodes
In a nutshell, WIDLIMS is a platform for discussing topics crucial to health which are not taught, glossed over or approached from the wrong angles in medicine and public discourse. The host Linda's knowledge – as a final year medical student – combined with valuable input from guests provides you with accessible and most importantly empowering evidence-based information on topics within the field of lifestyle medicine. In addition, you can expect in-depth mental health discussions, for example when considering body image & disordered eating in diet culture, as well as health inequalities due to variables such as race & gender which affect health behaviours and outcomes. We'll also discuss specific health conditions such as acne, anxiety and anorexia. Disclaimer: this show is for educational and entertainment purposes only.

Tips for new doctors from a new doctor

In this 30 minute episode, I give you general tips in two broad areas to help you feel more prepared for your first job as a doctor: life around work, and life at work. We cover your rights as a doctor (leave, pay), what might be expected of you, top tips for teamwork, how to look after your own health, and much more.  See time stamps for episode below.
