With the huge amount of content out there in the world at the moment, it can sometimes be daunting to choose a movie or TV show to enjoy from your giant Netflix queues and DVR boxes full to the brim with stuff you don't know if you can trust not to be a heap of muck. Maybe you only have one chance at a 2 hour chunk of time to watch a film this week. Or you want to get into spending a good few hours with a new TV show or computer game, but you aren't sure if you are making the right choice and you dont want to waste your time! Why Press Play dig up the gems from the world of moving pictures and discuss them and their merits, or lack thereof! We will watch that 5th Season of that show you thought about watching that one time. We will watch that rare movie that your friend insisted you have to watch ironically. We will play that game and give you the heads up on what to expect should you decide to invest all that time in it! So join us and the people who brought you Those Conspiracy Guys, for a journey into obscure pop culture, retro TV shows, the good and bad of the big screen and the small, and all the button bashing you can take.

The Last Boy Scout (1991)
On this episode I chat with comedian and filmmaker Gary White about the early 90s ferocious football flick The Last Boyscout starring Damon Wayans and in arguably his best performance ever, Bruce Willis. Bruce Willis, at his acting and popularity peak, agreed to do this movie only because of the involvement of Tony Scott but after Willis and producer Joel Silver practically took over production, it was a miracle such a clasic film came out of it. Written originally by Shane Black (but massively changed by Willis and Silver) it tells the story of a cop at the end of his rope and a washed up football player caught in a national level conspiracy to legalise gambling on football games in the US. Many assassination attempts, some great realistic stunt work, a few ropey car chases, some questionable sexual misconduct and loads of other stuff that would never make it into a film today, The LAst Boyscout delivers relentless action with some equally relentlessly shitty puns and cop jokes! A must watch for action fans!Let us know what you think of the show by following Why Press play on social media:Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/whypressplayTwitter: http://www.twitter.com/whypressplayInstagram: http://www.instagram.com/whypressplayPinterest: http://www.pinterest.com/whypressplayReddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/whypressplayYouTube: http://www.youtube.com/whypressplayTwitch: http://www.twitch.tv/whypressplayVid.me: http://www.vid.me/whypressplayJoin us and other fans for chats on movies, games and TV show on our Discord server by clicking here and downloading the app: https://discord.gg/U2pHR5gAnd you can support the show by subscribing to our Patreon page where you will get loads of exclusive content and discounts on merchandise http://www.patreon.com/whypressplay Learn more about your ad choices.
