In today's we explore the value of art. Why is that some art pieces are priced more highly than others? Is it because of the material used, the time it took to create it, the emotional sentiment attached to it or the acclaimed reputation of the artist? We chat to two incredible women in the arts to get a better understanding:

Thenjiwe Niki Nkosi - South African-American painter and multi-media artist. Tollmand Award winning visual artist. She holds a bachelor's degree from Harvard University and an MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York. Her work has exhibited in several countries including South Africa, United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Vernice and Portugal.

Sara Hallatt - Founding Director of the Meta Foundation and Managing Director of August House artist studios. In 2011 she took up Directorship of one of SA’s foremost visual arts NGO's, the Fordsburg Artists’ Studios, more fondly known as the Bag Factory. She sits on a number of Boards within the visual arts and the creative sector more generally. Sara has a Bachelor in Dramatic Arts and a post graduate diploma in Business. In 2015 she was awarded the Mandela Washington Fellowship to Northwestern University in Chicago to study business and entrepreneurship
