I did all the right things to prevent getting cancer. A certified health coach, nutritionist & wellness speaker, I thought I’d be the last person to be diagnosed with breast cancer. Why did I still get it? Was there something else I could have done to prevent it? A couple years later, I am grateful to be cancer-free and now I’m on a mission to share everything I’ve learned about mitigating risk, managing symptoms, and staying mentally well when bad things happen – even if you “did everything right!” ‘Why Did I Get Cancer‘ features: • Eye-opening information about health/cancer risks that surround us (and solutions to mitigate risks) • Health & lifestyle tips to lower risk (easier and quicker than you’d think!) • Inexpensive solutions for lowering cancer risk DISCLAIMER: The information provided on this podcast pertaining to your health or wellness, or any other aspect of your life is not intended to be a substitute for the professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment provided by your own Medical Provider or Mental Health Provider. 123. Is This the Reason I Got Cancer?
I love talking! Ask any of my elementary school teachers, and they will all tell you, "Debbie spends too much time talking and not enough time studying." That's why I was thrilled when the Functional Moms Podcast reached out to interview me on their show.  I love an opportunity to talk about why I think I got cancer and what changes I've made in my daily life to lower my risk of all types of illness. I will also tell you that change can be OVERWHELMING. That's why I started with small changes to develop new habits. Adding more fiber to my daily routine is one of my favorite new ways to improve my health. I often add chia seeds to my cottage cheese or on top of a salad, and I always have washed apples in my fridge and handbag. Another BIG CHANGE that I made after cancer was to sit down and ENJOY MY FOOD. I've spent most of my life rushing through meals (and many other things), and what I've learned is that eating and truly staying focused on the meal (no screens!) allows my body to digest it properly. When your digestion is strong, your body absorbs and assimilates more nutrients from the food! ______ Vitali Stin Care Have you heard about copper peptides? I hadn't either until I listened to today's guest talk about them on her podcast. She interviewed the founder of Vitali Regenerative Skin Care, Debbi Barber. I was so intrigued with their discussion about copper peptides and how they can soften scars, regenerate skin, and even help crepey skin look better. It's not often that I stop what I'm doing, read research, and order the products, but that's precisely what I did! And then I emailed Vitali Skin Care and asked for a coupon for my community. In hindsight, I should have asked for the coupon for my order, but nonetheless, you get 20% off your order! I'm trying body creme and skin serum. I will keep you posted on my results! https://www.vitaliskincare.com/discount/cancerwarrior?ref=cbkmpsij ______ Martinelli Apple Cider Here's the link to my favorite non-alcohol cocktail: https://www.martinellis.com/recipes/martinellis-mule/ ______ Connect with Functional Moms Instagram: https://instagram.com/functionalmomspodcast Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/functionalmomspodcast X: https://x.com/functionalmoms ______ Connect with Deborah Deborah on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/whydidigetcancer/ Deborah on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DebsHealthCoachKitchen Deborah on Twitter: https://twitter.com/ydidigetcancer Deborah on Pinterest: https://in.pinterest.com/whydidigetcancer/ Join Deb's weekly newsletter!  -https://whydidigetcancer.us14.list-manage.com/subscribeu=1c37affeccf004c8957941069&id=a8572db3c2 Learn more about your ad choices.
