I did all the right things to prevent getting cancer. A certified health coach, nutritionist & wellness speaker, I thought I’d be the last person to be diagnosed with breast cancer. Why did I still get it? Was there something else I could have done to prevent it? A couple years later, I am grateful to be cancer-free and now I’m on a mission to share everything I’ve learned about mitigating risk, managing symptoms, and staying mentally well when bad things happen – even if you “did everything right!” ‘Why Did I Get Cancer‘ features: • Eye-opening information about health/cancer risks that surround us (and solutions to mitigate risks) • Health & lifestyle tips to lower risk (easier and quicker than you’d think!) • Inexpensive solutions for lowering cancer risk DISCLAIMER: The information provided on this podcast pertaining to your health or wellness, or any other aspect of your life is not intended to be a substitute for the professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment provided by your own Medical Provider or Mental Health Provider. I can tell you that aging is hard.
I don't like feeling little aches and pains during my day! And my sleep can be so challenging.
This is why I'm highlighting my takeaways with my guest, Zora of Hack My Age.
Zora suggested using red light therapy to help reduce inflammation and accelerate healing. I'm a huge fan of using red light therapy. I've used it throughout my cancer journey. I find that it has helped me with wound healing and muscle recovery.
Red light therapy uses red and near-infrared light wavelengths to stimulate cellular function. This stimulation boosts adenosine triphosphate (ATP) production, thereby enhancing cellular processes such as healing, repair, and reducing inflammation.
I also use a sauna blanket to help with detoxing the JUNK out of my system, and the sauna I use is also a source of infrared light.
Home saunas can be very pricey and BIG! I have a small home, so having a sauna blanket is ideal for me. It's like a sleeping bag sauna: I lie on my bed, turn it on, and sweat it out. Afterward, I wipe it down and store it in the closet—so easy!

Have you heard about copper peptides?
I hadn't either until I listened to today's guest talk about them on her podcast. She interviewed the founder of Vitali Regenerative Skin Care, Debbi Barber.
I was so intrigued with their discussion about copper peptides and how they can soften scars, regenerate skin, and even help crepey skin look better.
It's not often that I stop what I'm doing, read research, and order the products, but that's precisely what I did!
And then I emailed Vitali Skin Care and asked for a coupon for my community. In hindsight, I should have asked for the coupon for my order, but nonetheless, you get 20% off your order!
I'm trying the body creme and skin serum. I will keep you posted on my results!
