Kate Leaver & Stripped Media
15 episodes

Host Kate Leaver is joined by her favourite living creature, Battersea rescue Shih tzu, Bert. He is compensated for his editorial work in cheese. She asks her guests endearingly specific questions about their dogs, like the most expensive thing they’ve ever destroyed, where they sleep at night and whether they’ve ever done anything noble, embarrassing or hilarious. Also: how they’ve changed lives, what effect they have on our mental health and whether they play family members off each other to get double dinners. A spectrum of silly and poignant topics.

Phoebe Tonkin & Lola the dog
Who's a Good Dog

Phoebe Tonkin & Lola the dog

In the first ever episode of Who’s A Good Dog, Kate talks to gorgeous actor/model/filmmaker Phoebe Tonkin. Phoebe starred in The Vampire Diaries, The Originals and The Circle. She got her big break playing Cleo, a teenager who inconveniently turns into a mermaid when she touches water, in iconic Australian TV show H20: Just Add Water, which has been watched by 250 million people in 120 countries around the world. In 2022, she’ll star alongside Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie in the film Babylon. She’s also a Chanel ambassador, an environmental activist… and a lifelong dog fan.

Phoebe tells Kate all about her tiny perfect family dog, Lola, as well as what it’s like to work on set with a wolf (and a snake!!!), why the first word she ever said was a golden retriever’s name, and how dogs could cure loneliness. It’s extremely nice.

If you’d like more Phoebe, you can join nearly 8 million followers on her Instagram and buy her fancy sustainable tracksuits at Les Jours.

You can find Kate on Instagram, Twitter and TikTok. Her book, Good Dog, is published by Harper Collins in Australia, the US and the UK.

Who’s A Good Dog? is a Stripped Media podcast, produced by Arlie Adlington.
