Althea Williams Part 1: Raised Duke basketball legend, NBA first-round pick, and the best ESPN basketball announcer, the incredible Jay (Jason) Williams
Althea Williams raised Duke basketball legend, NBA first-round pick, and the best ESPN basketball announcer, the incredible Jay (Jason) Williams, @therealjaywilliams!  Althea is like a walking quote book. She has as much positive energy as she has wisdom to share!   Insights from this #legendarymomma She spoke positively to Jason throughout his life reciting mottos like “Attitude determines your altitude,” and “You must maintain a positive attitude to achieve your goals.”     Althea held her son accountable and cared a great deal about instilling exceptional character in him as a boy.  When she saw her young son make mistakes, she not only held him accountable, she also looked inward to see how she could be a better momma.  She shares a funny real-life example during our conversation you don’t want to miss!   As a young mother she was constantly mindful of who was around her son. She surrounded Jay with great people who had strong character and exuded positivity.     Althea’s advice for mommas: Do not lose yourself. It is easy to lose yourself in motherhood, and it is also important to show your children who YOU are as a momma.   Full blog post here Instagram Facebook @MeganLReilly
