In today's episode, Glenn and I had the enlightening, entertaining, and super fun opportunity to chat with our friend and one of my fellow classmates, Rev. Liza Marquez! Speaker, writer, minister, and all 'round powerhouse, Rev. Liza's response to our question (after giving us a glowing review of our podcast... thank you Liza!) came down to the distinction between who she knows herself to be vs. what she sometimes thinks herself to be. We talked about standing in your own truth, and the power of dreams. Our conversation invited us to consider what we're anchoring ourselves in; the value of security; and the power of curiosity in our lives. Rev. Liza also talked very honestly and candidly about how her separation from several years ago was the impetus for her deep dive into Spirituality/Consciousness Studies, and how what she learned ended up allowing her to see her ex-partner as a reflection of herself, finding compassion, understanding and grace where there had been anger, divisiveness, and pain for so long. We talked about Oneness; and the profound meaning of the slogan, "Every Child Matters" which commemorates, honours, and brings awareness to the thousands of former residential school children and their families/communities in Canada, including the recently discovered bodies found in mass burial sights across Canada. Glenn also brought in his new take on Noah's Ark, the "Knower's Ark/Arc", which invites us to consider what thoughts, beliefs, and ideas we choose to bring with us to populate our new Earth (i.e. life experience).
