The Arctic Circle is the most northerly of the five major circles of latitude that mark maps of the Earth. It crosses the Atlantic Ocean, Europe, Asia and North America. The Arctic Circle is located at a latitude of 66° 33′ N, about 1,380 km (855 mi) north of the Equator. The area north of the Arctic Circle is known as the Arctic, and the zone just to the south is called the Northern Temperate Zone.
The Arctic Circle is one of the world's windiest regions. The jet stream, a narrow band of strong wind high in the atmosphere, blows around the Arctic Circle from west to east. The jet stream affects the weather in the Arctic and can cause strong winds and storms.
I managed to record the strong howling arctic wind. I setup my devices and had to hide inside my tent. Luckily the blizzard wasn't deadly.
