Episode 10 of the White Shark Interest Group Podcast, Facebook's' largest White Shark specific group, covering science, conservation, news, photography, video and debate.
This episode features group founder Dirk Schmidt turning the hosting tables on group admin Ricardo Lacombe to learn How To Make A Shark Film!
Ricardo discusses the step by step process from inception to pre-production to shooting to post-production and eventual release of the documentary Great White Shark Legend (co-directed by Rachel Lacombe), a documentary which aims to dispel the myths around White Shark behavior as portrayed in the media. The film features prominent South African shark experts such as Rob Lawrence, Alison Kock, Brandon Kilbride and the groups own Dirk Schmidt.
What does it take as an independent film-maker on a low budget to find your way to producing and directing a film about Great White sharks?
