This week we are joined by Belfast Busking sensation, John Garrity. He tells us about his humble beginning in rural Fermanagh. Growing up surrounded by music and how a school teacher helped him build his confidence to perform. He talks about coming to Belfast to try it out but after having a great time busking in the city centre and some encouragement from friends and family, he decided to move to Belfast full time. He talks about being scouted by Simon Cowell’s talent agents to try out for ‘Britain's Got Talent’ and ‘I Can See Your Voice’. Although he was asked to go on the show, it wasn’t what he thought and hoped it would be. He discusses being an independent artist and has no aspirations of signing to a label. The career highlight for John so far has been performing with Kodaline in the Nolan show. And we finish this episode with a song dedicated to Tyrone while he is out in Palestine with the children.
