Reverend Lara Akinola is the founder and Senior Minister at Liberty Ministries International, a global ministry reaching out to all nations with inspiring messages of the gospel, and The Woman of Substance, an organisation dedicated to fostering and facilitating your personal development and spiritual growth, using various interventions including coaching, mentoring, seminars and workshops.
Reverend Lara’s background is in strategic Human Resources Consultancy, and has over 20 years experience as a well sought after Strategic HR Consultant. She has consulted with many large organisations in the private, public and charity sectors across England, providing support and services in major restructuring projects, mergers and acquisitions, transfers in and out of the organisations, and Workforce Development planning. But Reverend Lara’s passion is mostly in supporting people and helping them to maximise their potentials and become all that they can be.
Reverend Lara defied domestic violence in a very abusive marriage and eventually divorce, to go on and achieve 2 Masters degrees, a Bachelor’s degree in Theology and Practical Ministry, and she is currently studying for her Masters in Theology and Leadership.
Reverend Lara is a transformational speaker, a coach and a mentor, and an ordained minister of the Gospel. Her Christian faith defines her, and is the bedrock of everything she does. Reverend Lara is a mother of three grown up children and two beautiful grandchildren
