Packed Weekend of Music, Halloween Festivities, and More in San Diego
San Diego listeners, this weekend is packed with events and festive fun, so let’s jump right into what’s happening throughout the city. If you’re in the mood for music, head downtown today for We Love R & B at Waterfront Park. The event runs from noon to 7 pm with some of San Diego’s hottest DJs spinning all your favorite R&B tunes in a lush outdoor setting. There will be food, drinks, and plenty of sunshine, so grab your crew and enjoy a dance-heavy celebration. Waterfront Park is right along Pacific Highway, and this event is strictly 21 and up.

Halloween weekend brings some serious party energy, especially with the famous San Diego Zombie Crawl tonight. Spanning five nights, with key events tonight and continuing through Halloween and Dia de los Muertos, you can experience $400 worth of adult treats, free entries to 25 bars, 10 welcome shots, killer dining deals, and hotel perks. The crawl kicks off at American Junkie on Fifth Avenue in the Gaslamp Quarter—you’ll be bar hopping, dancing in the streets, and joining hundreds dressed as zombies and monsters.

Families looking for daytime excitement have loads of options. Halloween Aglow at Birch Aquarium is tonight from 6 to 8:30 pm. This interactive evening includes oceanic adventures, eerie illuminations, live animal encounters, and the perfect setting to show off your costumes among glowing exhibits and sweet treats. The San Diego Zoo’s HalGLOWeen celebration continues all weekend, featuring entertainment, interactive games, and a vibrant light display every evening from 5 to 9 pm.

Dog lovers should check out BooFront Pet Costume Contest at Hilton San Diego Bayfront, starting late morning, where your furry friends can strut their stuff for prizes and photo ops. Over in Alpine, Lions Tigers & Bears hosts a Pumpkin Bash with animal encounters and seasonal activities for families. Kids and parents can also join the Trunk or Treat festivities at the San Diego Automotive Museum, complete with costumed fun and free admission for dressed-up kids.

And for those hunting for something tasty and unusual, it’s the final weekend for San Diego’s Spookiest Ice Cream Pop-Up. The Halloween x Anime themed shop at Mitri’s blends spooky treats and colorful anime vibes for both kids and grown-ups looking for Instagram-worthy snacks.

If you want to stretch your legs, lace up your shoes for the Head for the Cure 5K early Saturday morning starting at UCSD, or the Tierrasanta Monster Dash 5K — costumes and dogs welcome. Little Italy Mercato and the Gaslamp Artisan Market run throughout Saturday, so shoppers and foodies will find local produce, crafts, and art all day.

San Diego listeners, there’s no better place to celebrate Halloween, music, fresh food, and community this weekend. Thank you for tuning in and don’t forget to subscribe for more. This has been a quiet please production, for more check out quiet please dot ai.
