Welcome to the ninth episode of What the 'Beep' do you know about learning English? This podcast is for intermediate to advanced learners of English. Some teachers might find it interesting too. Today we revisit Vicki’s tips for learning English and review three collocation tools. The tools are:
After introducing the tools, we review them using the three criteria below:
1) Pedagogy: Is this tool based on good teaching methods and research or are they making claims they can’t support?
2) User Experience: How easy or hard is it to use this online tool? Is there a good help page? Are the controls complicated? And so on.
3) Language Learning Potential: How much can a student of English get out of this tool? Will this tool make you a more efficient learner of English?
