What She Said: She Speaks Her Truth! (Trailer)

Welcome to What She Said, a space where we empower and support girls and young women through their journey to becoming poise, graceful, and respected adults. This podcast is a beautiful creation inspired by our listening sessions with young black girls in the south and our work with girls. Our goal is to let black girls and girls worldwide know that their mess, stress, confusion, and process are welcomed without judgment. We all experience challenging times as we strive to be the best version of ourselves. You'll hear from women who express their truth in diverse ways, and we welcome it ALL. To all black girls: come as you are. Don’t hide your authentic expression because who you are is a part of the beautiful quilt of creation. If you’ve been overcoming trauma from bullying, microaggressions, feeling outcasted, or an unharmonious relationship with family - you’re in the right place and you’re not alone.

In each episode, you’ll hear black girls 18-24 share stories similar to yours and speak their truth without feeling judged or guilty about it. You’ll learn what they did to fight the odds stacked against them, and how you can do the same to create the life you deserve. Gradually, you will build a toolbox of mindful inner resources that will help you stay grounded, compassionate, forgiving, and graceful despite the obstacles you find on your way.

Come honor your resilience, protect your heart and mind, and secure your future. What She Said is run by Girl Stance, a 501c3 non-profit organization that inspires, empowers, and guides our girls to fight the odds stacked against them from the inside out.

Subscribe to the show to be part of a community of black girls and women who never back down. If you or someone you know between the age of 18-24 would be interested in joining our community and sharing their story on our show, message us at info@girlstance.org.
