"Transportation is the movement of people and goods ... allowing people to do what they want."

Are you interested in predicting urban transportation systems and their effects? What do you think about transportation as the movement of people and goods? How can we consider the first, second and third rate consequences?

Interview with Josh Rands, Co-Founder and CEO at TerraCity. We will talk about his vision for the future of cities, transportation, sustainability, second and third rate consequences, and many more.

Josh Rands is the Founder and CEO of TerraCity, a software startup he founded in 2022 that's developing AI-powered modeling tools to help cities with comprehensive planning and decision-making across transportation and land-use. Josh previously founded Litter CleanUp, a nonprofit that built a mobile volunteering platform to empower community-driven action to fight litter and pollution. At TerraCity, he serves as Principal Investigator on research and development projects funded by the United States Department of Energy and Department of Agriculture to develop novel AI technology.
