Our guest Mike Deibler joined us to share about Veteran Command and his creation of DTS Maps — an interactive push-pin map that allows veterans to mark their travels and tell the stories tied to each place. Every pin carries a memory, a moment, and a story that shaped the journey. Mike also talked about “No Shit, There I Was”, a storytelling event hosted at a local brewery where veterans shared raw, eye-opening experiences straight from the heart.
Our music spotlight featured Michael Lisenby, a former law enforcement officer and first responder who has turned his passion toward songwriting. His music reflects deep personal experiences, resilience, and the brotherhood of service. Michael performed three powerful songs:
“I Got a Bottle” – Written after the tragic ambush that took the lives of fellow officers, this song is a tribute to their memory and a reminder that one day, they’ll share a drink together again in heaven.
“Hammer Down” – A song about racing to the side of a brother or sister in crisis, doing whatever it takes to be there when they need you most.
“Hold On Brother” – A heavy, emotional piece about fighting through danger to reach and protect your brother in the heat of battle.
