How do you spell relief? Why not use #humor !? Ms. Robin Pheonix Johnson - an Army veteran and subject matter expert on applied & therapeutic humor, and Veteran Fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University joins us for this episode. She has learned that the best way to get through the day sometimes is to hit the #humor spot and not take yourself too seriously. Robin uses comedy to help her fellow veterans heal. Reducing Veteran suicide and improving mental healthcare is a National imperative. Traditional approaches such as medication and therapy work, but HEALHARIOUS brings innovation and levity as a complementary resource. The applied & therapeutic use of humor allows participants to use comedy to engage in the process of cognitive restructuring thoughts from negative to be positive.
