Watonga City Manager Minute podcast host Karrie Beth Little brought together special guests; Darien Chebahtah, TOR director Tribal Opioid Response Project with Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes and Kimberly Jenkins WEDA director along with me, BrandLogix Mobile Marketing podcast site host, Teresa France to discuss this weekend's upcoming Communities Care Event; Saturday Feb.10th beginning at 10a. at the Watonga Armory. The objective of the event is to bring together lifesaving resources by providing harm reduction strategies for people and families who are struggling with addiction and other crisis situations. All 44 vendors have a resource available for individuals or families in need or for a community member that may know someone who might need assistance currently or in the future. Our city, along with many others, see the problem we are facing and are reaching out to offer resources to our community. This event has something for EVERYONE...food, culture, kids events, addiction education resources, counseling, Narcan kits and a medication drug take back drop site location. It's a day of reaching resources and a collaboration with the City of Watonga and TOR Cheyenne and Arapaho tribal Opioid Response program, and so many others who want to save lives; reaching one person at a time.
