St. Agnes of Bohemia, also known as Agnes of Prague, stands as a shining example of Christian virtue and devotion.

Born into the royal family of Bohemia in 1211, Agnes felt a tender compassion for the suffering from an early age. Despite her privileged upbringing, she renounced the riches of the court and took a vow of virginity. In 1234, St. Agnes realized her dream of establishing a Franciscan monastery for women in Prague, the Convent of St. Francis.
