From 1925 to 1950, Waco faced economic challenges during the Depression but grew during World War II through military expansion and industry. Baylor University expanded, and the city saw improvements in infrastructure. Social and cultural life flourished through churches, schools, and local traditions, setting the stage for postwar growth and change.
