The word 'Gulfaam' signifies the essence of beauty which is connected with conscience and not the physical body. Whatever appeals to our mind is called beautiful. In Bhakti Maarg, God only removes our flaws and fills us up with good qualities.
So a devotee intends to convey here that God's active presence is converting the gulaam (slave) into gulfaam.
