One dark night, a traveler was passing through a village. As his destination was yet away the village chief gave him a lamp so that he could see the path. The traveler soon returned and complained that his way was over eight km long while light of the lamp could cover a distance of merely hundred yards. The chief said that it was foolish to expect that his whole way should be lit at a stretch. As he would move on, the light of lamp would be ahead of him and thus he could cover his whole distance. Similarly, every seeker should build up his faith against the impending darkness and keep his pace constant. Every passing moment clears the path for the next step.
