This week, we delved into one of our favourite worlds: The Jane Austen Cinematic Universe and we watched Love & Friendship. An odd choice for sure, but we took a gamble and Jane Austen had never steered us wrong before. This 2016 film has almost none of the traditional markers we love from a Jane Austen adaptation: nasty, manipulative women, buffoonish men, and throuples. It was definitely the wildest of rides. We had a lot of fun with this movie, and we hope you have just as much fun listening to it.
