ACL- What to do to keep your athlete ready in mind, body, and spirit

In this podcast episode Dr. Ashley Shrum is joined by Dr. Amie Schuetz (both physical therapists) to discuss ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) injuries. They discuss what the ACL is, where its located, and what type of situations most result in the injury; how you can support your athlete or teammate that is undergoing ACL repair; what to avoid saying because its not helpful; and what to do when this athlete returns to the gym for the first few weeks.

There is a video bonus feature to this episode which includes a demonstration and instruction on several drills you can do in the gym to reintroduce your athlete to training and really gauge where they are mentally and physically for return to sport.
