Dr. Sameen Siddiqi is the Current Chair of the Department of Community Health Sciences at AKU. His body of work has also spanned multiple positions such as at the WHO where he served as the Director of Health System Development & at the Health Services Academy where he was the Masters of Public Health Director. Through his experiences, Dr. Sameen has amassed an intensive body of work regarding health systems, health care service delivery, and health policy. In a world mired by pandemics, knowledge of Public Health has become essential for health practitioners, as when there is no cure, prevention is all that remains. Today Dr. Sameen sits down with SPIE Community Wing's very own Mustafa Habib to discuss his journey, the current pandemic, and how different countries approach Health Policy Planning and Universal Health Care.
