Meet Emily: Advocate, Entrepreneur, Mother Emily is a passionate advocate, who has built her whole career around sharing her story and advocating for change. In this episode, we hear from Emily about her life growing up in care, the stigma she faced as a child in care, when she become a “young mum”, and again as she started building her business in the advocacy space without having a qualification. Having worked with CREATE, Adopt Change and many other organisations closely for years, Emily has been instrumental in pushing for systemic change in the care system and is passionate about seeing barriers broken down for young people with a care experience – particularly around employment and education.
