In this episode, we delve into the complex and exhausting world of social camouflage, or "masking," that many neurodiverse individuals engage in to fit into neurotypical society. We share our personal experiences of hiding or suppressing our true selves, the toll it takes on mental health, and the impact it has on our relationships and sense of identity. We’ll also explore what it feels like to ‘unmask,’ the challenges of being authentic, and how creating safe spaces can help neurodiverse individuals feel accepted just as they are.
