From the very beginning, the term “Artificial Intelligence” has gotten into people’s minds, creating images of thinking, autonomous machines capable of replacing humans. But this very combination -the word “intelligence,” a profoundly complex human trait, paired with “artificial,” meaning unnatural- has created a misleading and often counterproductive perception. It fuels the idea that AI is a threat, something that competes with people, that it can surpass us, it can even replace us.
