His name was Athenodorus. His profession: philosopher.And with reason and courage, he faced what most would have fled from. In this episode, we travel back to 1st century A.D., into a letter written by Pliny the Younger, where the story of the first haunted house in history was recorded. A chilling tale of a chained ghost, an abandoned villa in Athens, and a man who dared to seek the truth. This is not a legend. It’s one of the earliest written accounts of a haunting in Western literature.
