If you've tried bossing your body about and trying to make it do all the things you've wanted it to do without taking into account how your body feels and what it needs, then maybe it's time for a change. Try looking after your body and treating it like you would a small child - nourish it, let it rest sometimes, be strict sometimes and make it eat well and go to bed on time. It may feel a little weird at first, but you may feel better for it.
