Wings Take Flight One Last Time: McCartney & co.'s Back to the Egg (Part 1 of 2)
EPYSODE 44 (pt. 1): "Back To The Egg" by Wings.
Guest: Wings' guitarist Laurence Juber.
Rules are meant to be broken. I couldn't help myself. I know I said that I would be presenting "under-the-radar" types of albums on this show. So why am I featuring an album that sold 4 million copies, won a grammy, and whose bandleader just so happens to be Sir Paul McCartney?!? 'Cuz I love this one!! Many critics (and some fans) have a different opinion of this record. These are the people I like to call...wrong.
"Back To The Egg" has divided music listeners for over 4 decades now. With some wonderful commentary from Wings' guitarist Laurence Juber, we break down the songs to explain why this really is a fantastic album. If you haven't given this one a fair chance, take a listen with us. Maybe you'll be amazed...
Thanks for tuning in, turning on & dropping by Vinyl Relics. I hope you dig "Back To The Egg" as much as I do.
